Milton Trager first began to discover the connection between body, mind and spirit during his adolescence. Years later, after qualifying as a physician, Dr. Trager worked using both conventional and complementary approaches to help people heal.
Dr. Trager’s curiosity and his enthusiasm for inviting the body to heal itself (by helping it connect to the mind), led to the development of his unique, gentle, bodywork and movement exploration called “The Trager Approach”.
In 1975, Dr. Trager began teaching his approach to others. Subsequently the Trager Institute in Mill Valley, California was founded in 1980, and Milton continued to teach until his death in 1997.
There is a way of being which is lighter, which is freer.
A way in which work as well as play becomes a dance.
And living a song we can learn this way.
